Owner of Solus Lighting Named WISE Woman of Inspiration
The Women in Sports & Events (WISE) Woman of Inspiration is awarded to women who have impacted the event industry in their community. This award recognizes them not only professionally but also those who are role models helping to pave the way for women. Maureen Patterson, Owner & Lead Designer at Solus Lighting, has received this award in 2019.
WISE‘s mission is to “empower women in the business of sports and events with the tools to reach their career goals by facilitating meaningful connections among local industry professionals and offering programming, events, and valuable networking opportunities in the area.” Maureen Patterson has not only been active within WISE since 2013, but also serves on the Board of Directors for International Live Events Association (ILEA) and the Executive Committee for the ILEA Ohio WOW Awards, is a member of Plexus, the Kamm’s Corners Development Corporation, the Ohio River Valley Women’s Business Council, and is the founder of the Irish Network Cleveland. In 2016, she was named Enterprising Woman of the Year and in 2017 she was the first honorary member of the National Association of Women Business Owners. With such an impressive resume, it’s no wonder WISE thought she was a role model for women in business!
Though Maureen is a member in so many respectable organizations, she’s never let them distract from her first priority – developing and growing her business, Solus Lighting LTD. For more than 20 years, Maureen has been lighting events in the Cleveland area. Certified in WBE and WOSB, “Solus Lighting LTD is the only international award winning company located in Cleveland, OH dedicated exclusively to lighting and production management.”
Proving that some of the best event professionals come from right here in Northeast Ohio, Maureen has set the standard high for our community. We applaud her efforts and strides in helping women grow in this industry by example. Congratulations on this well-deserved honor!
